Who we are

EU Quarter Homes is a listing platform for furnished rentals in Brussels. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian data protection law.

What data we collect

Account & profile data: Your name, email address, and LinkedIn profile URL obtained via LinkedIn OAuth when you sign in. Landlords additionally provide a phone number and listing details such as address, photos, price, and description.

How we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account and verify your identity via LinkedIn
  • To publish, display, and manage property listings on the platform
  • To facilitate direct contact between landlords and prospective tenants
  • To send transactional emails such as account confirmations and inquiry notifications
  • To analyse site usage and improve the platform (via GA4, only with your consent)
  • To comply with applicable legal and tax obligations

Cookies and Google Analytics

EU Quarter Homes uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve the experience. GA4 sets cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and referral sources. We configure GA4 with IP anonymization enabled and we do not send personally identifiable information in event parameters.

Analytics cookies are only loaded after you give explicit consent through our cookie banner. If you do not consent, no Google Analytics scripts or cookies will be placed on your device. You can change or revoke your consent at any time using the link in the footer. When you revoke consent, we clear existing GA cookies on the next page load.

Data sharing

We share your data only with the service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform, each of which is bound by a data processing agreement:

  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure, hosted within the EU
  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery, with servers in EU regions
  • Google Ireland Limited — analytics (GA4), only if you have given consent
  • LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company — limited to the OAuth authentication flow at sign-in

We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, and for up to two years after closure. Inquiry messages are retained for one year. Analytics data is subject to GA4's retention settings, currently set to 14 months.

International transfers

Vercel and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, ensuring an equivalent level of protection.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@euquarterhomes.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).
